Aiyana Acevedo
Aiyana, a former professional dancer and experienced rock climber, teaches yoga with both energy and graceful presence. Her classes blend strong, flowing movement with moments of creative exploration and thoughtful sequencing. She follows a clear twofold approach: to build physical strength and flexibility while also cultivating mental calm, clarity, and sustained focus.
Aiyana encourages mindful self-inquiry and intuitive movement, honoring each student’s individual limits so they can safely adapt the practice and make it truly their own. With students’ informed consent, she may offer gentle hands-on adjustments drawing on Chinese remedial techniques and aspects of Zen Thai massage.
